Pulled pork dinner

at Legion Post 159

There will be a pulled pork dinner from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at American Legion Post 159 in Williamstown. The Jinx band will perform at 9 p.m. The cost is $ 6 per person.

Program on ‘Walking Through Grief’

House Of The Forgiven church, 535 BF Goodrich Road, Marietta will begin a “Walking Through Grief” group in March.

The group will meet for six weeks to help those participating with the loss of loved ones. Those that are interested in taking part can contact Pastor Sherry Ritchie at 629-7735.

Emergency planning committee to meet

The Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lookout Park, 801 Lancaster St., Marietta. The public is invited to attend.

Fort Frye building committee to meet

There will be a Fort Frye Local school district Buildings & Grounds Committee meeting at 5 p.m. Thursday in the superintendent’s office located at Beverly-Center Elementary School, 510 Fifth St., Beverly.

Spaghetti dinner fundraiser Jan. 12

The Washington County Fair Board will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at 5 p.m. Jan. 12 at the Junior Fair Building at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Cost is a donation.

Dog park volunteers seeking ideas

Marietta Community Dog Park volunteers are asking for feedback and ideas from the community. An informational meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lookout Park Community Center, 801 Lancaster St., Marietta. Volunteers are being sought for a working advisory board as well as people who can give an hour or two of their time on occasion. Questions can be submitted to

Tickets on sale for Betsey’s fundraiser

The Betsey Mills Club’s Chicken Pot Pie Fundraiser ‘Comfort Food at Its Finest’ will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 22 (takeout only) and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (dine-in) and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (takeout) Feb. 23. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets are on sale now at The Betsey Mills Club.
