Property code would give up individual powers

In response to the article, “Dialogue sought on property code update” in your Jan. 23 issue, it seems to me that the most important question that we could ask is, “why do we as Americans needs to adopt an international property maintenance code?” Do we not have the ability to develop and use our own codes? Americans have led the world in industry and achievement. Why would we surrender our decision making to an international organization – namely the United Nations?

Surrendering to international control over our lives is a huge mistake. And once our rights are surrendered, they will not be regained.

Is our own city council unable or unwilling to take responsibility for decision making? Do they need big government to enforce for them? If so, they should be replaced.

Allowing Marietta citizens to be controlled by participating in the International Property Maintenance Code is just one of the initial steps into the United Nations’ Agenda 21 program. If you would like confirmation of this Agenda and its plans, read a book by Rosa Koire called “Behind the Green Mask: U.N. Agenda 21.” Koire is a commercial real estate appraiser in California. After 30 years of analyzing land use and property values, she recognized the planning revolution in America and founded the organization, “Democrats Against UN Agenda 21.” You can check out her website at for an education on the topic.

Agenda 21 is not a conspiracy as some would have you believe. It is a well-planned and determined agenda designed to take over your rights as American citizens. Its goal is control and spreading your wealth throughout the world.

Let’s keep our decision making here with our own people and not surrender it to any international group.
