Kayla Lynnette Miller and Matthew James Ciotti were united in marriage on Oct. 20, 2012, at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Cincinnati with Father Joseph Casey officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ted and Trina Miller of Churchtown. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Betty Pottmeyer of Churchtown and Rita Miller and the late Pete Miller of Beverly.

The bridegroom is the son of Janis Walker of Madison, Ohio and Jim and Renee Ciotti of Salem, Ohio. He is the grandson of Wayne Walker and the late Marjorie Walker of Barnesville, Ohio, and Virginia Ciotti and the late Tullio Ciotti of Salem, Ohio.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, satin gown with a strapless, sweetheart bodice and a dropped waistline continuing into a swirling skirt. She wore a white birdcage hairpiece with white feather and flower accents and carried a bouquet of shades of purple lisianthus, roses and orchids. Attached to her bouquet was an heirloom locket with photos of her grandmother and great-grandmother, as well as her mother’s wedding band.

The matron of honor was Ashleigh Strahler of Churchtown. Bridesmaids were Johanna McNabb of Lowell, Layne Pottmeyer of Marietta, Alana Henry of Waterford, Megan Witte of Cincinnati, Michelle Brasdovich of Cleveland and the bridegroom’s sister, Jennifer Williams of Madison, Ohio. They wore satin, v-neck cocktail dresses in purple. The flower girl was Kailey Williams, niece of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of purple lisianthus, carnations and roses.

The bridegroom wore a charcoal tuxedo with a purple paisley tie. The best man was Andrew Palmer of Medina, Ohio. Groomsmen were Rick Gorski of Cleveland, Andrew Dehaven of Akron, Jon Snelting of Cincinnati, Joe Ayers of Salem, Ohio and the bride’s brothers, Clay and Brice Miller of Churchtown. The ring bearer was Parker Williams, nephew of the bridegroom. The groomsmen wore charcoal tuxedos with purple ties.

A dinner and dance reception was held following the ceremony in the Grand Ballroom of the Phoenix in downtown Cincinnati.

The couple honeymooned on the islands of Kauai and Maui, Hawaii and currently reside in Cincinnati.
