makes promotion

Peoples Bank, National Association (Peoples Bank) has promoted Tyler J. Wilcox to senior vice president – director of human resources. In this position, Wilcox is responsible for the management of HR functions at Peoples, including recruiting, professional development, management succession, compensation, benefits, employment and benefits regulations, etc.

Wilcox joined Peoples in the legal department in 2008 as associate counsel. It was there he began working with management and the HR team on employment related issues. In 2011, he joined the HR team as director of compensation and benefits, and he was appointed director of HR in 2012.

Wilcox earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, and a juris doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Ohio and is a member of the Ohio Banker’s League Human Resources Advisory Group and Ohio State Bar Association Employment Law Council. He and his wife, Holly, reside in Marietta with their two children.

Local man earns industry recognition

CHICAGO – The Wallcovering Association (WA) has awarded the industry’s highest honor, the Justin P. Allman Award, to Jerry Mason at its 2013 Annual Meeting held at the SandPearl Resort in Clearwater Beach, Fla.

The WA bestows the award to an individual in the industry who has made lasting contributions to the industry over a significant period of time.

Mason, a graduate of Marshall University, resides in Williamstown with his wife, Mary Lou. Mason. At the time of his retirement with RJF International Corp., was vice president of technology.

Mason’s contributions have reached beyond his accomplishments with BF Goodrich and RJF. He has built relationships throughout the industry by his leadership and participation with the Chemical Fabrics and Film Association, Society of Plastics Engineers, ASTM, NSF, and the WA.

“Jerry has played a critical role in helping expand the performance, versatility and safety of wallcovering products” said Chris Mudschenk, Wash. executive director, “We are pleased to see Jerry honored for his technical expertise, leadership, and dedication to the advancement of the industry.”

Rea & Associates adds to staff

Rea & Associates, a regional accounting and business consulting firm, has announced that Emily Buck has joined the firm as a staff accountant.

“We are thrilled to welcome Emily to our professional team,” said Jim Hensler, CPA, office manager for Rea’s Marietta office. “She’s off to a great start and ready to tackle her first tax season with the firm.”

Buck holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from West Virginia University – Parkersburg graduating cum laude. She lives in Marietta with her daughter, Kassandra.
