M. Louise Radabaugh
Mary Louise “Granny” Radabaugh, 95, of Heartland, Marietta, punched her ticket to the pearly gates, Tuesday (Feb. 12, 2013).
She was born in Cincinnati on Aug. 23, 1917. Granny had a wonderful life full of vibrancy, humor, and love. She was so talented at anything she did. From craftwork to painting, gardening to innovative dentistry, there wasn’t a thing she wasn’t good at doing. She was a successful business woman, once owning the New Mecca Cafe and Rio Vista Supper Club in Marietta. In her younger years, she was an avid golfer, fisherman, and “The” master of ceremonies at all family events. Granny loved the Cincinnati Reds with “Marty and Joe”, was a buckeye fan and loved sports and life in general. The favorite things in her life were her family and big hugs and kisses.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathie Hollister (Bill) of Williamstown; two sons, Jay Radabaugh (Kay) of Cincinnati, and Nick Radabaugh (Genice) of Marietta; six grandchildren, Dawk and Scott Hollister, Heather Skeith, Carmel Dellinger, Dacia and Connor Radabaugh; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Radabaugh; one daughter, Linda “Robin” Allen; and grandson, Jason Hollister.
Per her family’s wishes there will be a private gathering later, at which time, Granny will, for one last time, be the master of ceremonies. The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland for the loving care of taking care of Granny. The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is assisting her family with cremation arrangements.
