Soup dinner March 2 at Goodfellows Park
There will be a soup dinner starting at 3 p.m. March 2 at the Goodfellows Park Club House off Ohio 550 between Marietta and Barlow. The cost is $6 per person with children 8 and under free. There will be live entertainment from Country Fever from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and Four Hits & A Miss from 6:30 to 9 p.m. There will be 50/50 drawings. The event is open to the public.
‘Walking by Faith’ Relay team forming

Friends of the NRA banquet Thursday
The Mid-Ohio Valley Friends of the National Rifle Association Committee will host the sixth annual Friends of NRA banquet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Holy Smoke Event Center in Whipple. The event is open to those who aren’t members of the NRA. Fifty percent of proceeds will be earmarked for Ohio projects including youth programs, shooting range development, firearm safety and hunter education. The event will include raffles, games and silent and live auctions. A $40 dinner ticket includes a steak dinner and door prize drawing. A $125 raffle package tickets includes dinner, a door prize drawing and 40 raffle tickets.

St. Marys concert band practicing
The St. Marys Community Concert Band will start practices every Tuesday for the 2013 season starting at 7 p.m. March 5 at the St. Marys Marina. New members from all over the Mid-Ohio Valley of all ages and competence are welcome.

Spaghetti dinner benefit in Reno
A spaghetti dinner benefit will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. March 2 at the Marietta Township Recreation Center for Bobbi Reeder, a longtime EMT for the Reno Volunteer Fire Department who is facing medical issues. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 and under. There will be a country store and raffle.
