Caldwell Elementary seeks students for 2013-14 kindergarten

In preparation for the 2013-2014 school year, Caldwell Elementary School is conducting a survey of those children who will be attending kindergarten this fall. Call the school at 732-4614 if you have a child who will be enrolling. Children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2013 must turn 5 prior to Aug. 1.

Kindergarten visitation will be at 9 a.m. March 21, in the school cafeteria. Parents will receive enrollment and other necessary forms that day.

Kindergarten screening will be held April 17 and April 18.

Warren High student concert March 7

The Warren High School Music Department concert will be at 7 p.m. March 7 in the Warren High School auditorium. The band and choirs will perform.

Flood risk open house Wednesday

A Flood Risk Information Open House will be held for Washington County residents from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room 103-105 of Washington State Community College’s Center for Business and Technology. Those attending will have the chance to locate their homes on the new flood insurance rate maps and get information on flood insurance coverage offered through the National Flood Insurance Program. Representatives from the Ohio Department of Natural Resource and the Federal Emergency Management Agency will be on hand. People can drop in at any point in the three-hour period.

Spaghetti dinner to help longtime EMT

A spaghetti dinner benefit will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center for Bobbi Reeder, a longtime EMT for the Reno Volunteer Fire Department who is facing medical issues. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 6 and under.

Swap meet features antique car parts

The fourth annual Winter Swap Meet will be held from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the junior fair building at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The meet will specialize in antique car parts.
