Bethel community fish fry Friday

The Bethel Community Center on Ohio 260 at Marr will hold a fish fry on Friday. Serving starts at 4:30 p.m.

Chicken, ham dinner at Fearing Twp. VFD

The Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual chicken and ham dinner March 16. Serving starts at 4 p.m. at the fire station at 1975 Stanleyville Road, Whipple. There will be a serving choice of chicken or ham with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a choice of pie or cake.

Committee to meet

The Policy Committee of the Warren Local Schools Board of Education will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the administration building, 220 Sweetapple Road, Vincent.

Watertown trustees to talk dust control

The Watertown Township trustees will hold an informational and input meeting about dust control at their regular monthly meeting Monday. The meeting will be held at the Watertown Township Firehouse at 7:30 p.m.

Pancake, sausage meal at Cutler center

There will be a pancake and sausage breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Cutler Chapel United Methodist Church on Washington County 3. There will also be sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs and toast. The meal is all you can eat. The cost is a donation.

Square dance, potluck at Lowell

A square dance and potluck will be held Saturday in the Our Lady Of Mercy social hall in Lowell. The potluck will be at 6:30 p.m., and the dance will be from 8 to 11 p.m.. Steve and Beverly Pottmeyer will be the callers. The event is being sponsored by the Washington County Farm Bureau.

Panel discussion

on Gettysburg

The Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War will present an open panel discussion on the Battle of Gettysburg at 7 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion Post, Eighth and Wooster streets, Marietta. They will be focusing on the 73rd OVI, 1st Ohio Battery H, 1st WV Battery C and other Ohio units involved in the battle. Dan Hinton and Scott Britton will lead the discussion. The discussion is open to the public.
