Cheerleading

contest at Fort Frye

The Buckeye All Stars is hosting a Spring Bash Cheerleading Competition Saturday at Fort Frye High School. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the competition begins at 11 a.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. There will be local talent, food, Easter basket raffles, a 50/50 drawing and various other vendors.

Relay For Life team sells chocolate eggs

The Adams Family and Friends Relay for Life team is taking orders for peanut butter filled chocolate eggs for Easter. The cost is $5 for a 1-pound egg. Delivery will be the week of Easter.

The Wolf Creek Board of Education has moved its monthly meeting to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The meeting will be held in the Waterford High School library

Society to meet

The next meeting of the Marietta Photographic Society will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Gilman United Methodist Church in Marietta. The competition subject is, “Single perspective (where two points come together.)” Photographers of any skill level are encouraged to attend.

Riverbank erosion program Thursday

The March Marietta Natural History program will be presented by Matthew Magruder, visitor services manager for Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge. He will describe the methods used to stabilize the shorelines along the river in order to reduce erosion. “Riverbank Stabilization” will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 150 of Marietta College’s Selby Hall. The public is invited to attend.

Breakfast with the bunny March 16

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. March 16 at the Belpre Heights United Methodist Church, 720 Clement Ave. Belpre Donations will be accepted.

Chicken, ham dinner at Fearing Twp. VFD

The Fearing Township Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual chicken and ham dinner March 16. Serving starts at 4 p.m. at the fire station at 1975 Stanleyville Road, Whipple. There will be a serving choice of chicken or ham with mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a choice of pie or cake.
