Frances V. Hall
Frances Virginia Ferree Hall, 95, formerly of Vienna, passed away Wednesday (March 20, 2013) at the Willows Care Center.
She was born May 6, 1917, at Walker, W.Va., a daughter of Dorr and Mary Luvina Cunningham Ferree. She was a graduate of Parkersburg High School, Class of 1935, and for many years managed the Junior League Shop on Market Street. She had previously been employed at the former Elberfeld’s Department Store and in the financial office of Hill’s Department Store from the time of their opening.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Carroll F. Hall, Jr. D.C.; two sisters, June and Lucille; and one brother, Paul. She was very proud of her three surviving sons and grandchildren, Dr. Carroll “Bud” Hall (Mary) of Salinas, Calif., Dr. David C. Hall (Amelia) of Harrisonburg, Va., Jonathan F. Hall (Laura) of Williamstown; five grandchildren, Julie Tripler, Nathaniel Hall (Erin), Eric Hall (Kayla), Chelsey Hall, David Hall II; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Ashley Tripler.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Vaughan Funeral Home with the Rev. Diane Kenaston officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and for one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
