Fish fry Friday at Salem Twp. VFD

The Salem Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold a fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the station, located on Ohio 821 in Lower Salem. The cost is a donation.

Personal wellness challenge coming

Ohio State University Extension will hold a six-week personal wellness challenge from April 8 to May 20.

The “Live Healthy, Live Well” challenge is for anyone interested in improving their overall health. It will include weekly educational messages, a tracking log, drawings for prizes, a pre- and post-challenge survey and the option of following the “Live Healthy, Live Well” Facebook page for more tips.

To sign-up, contact Kristen Corry at Ohio State University Extension Noble County by April 4. The cost is $4 to participate by mail, and there is no cost to take the challenge online by email. Send an email to to register or call 732-5681.

Permanent recycling trailer in Barlow

Beginning Monday, Barlow Township will have a permanent recycling trailer at the Township Hall, 567 Warrior Drive. The following items can be recycled:

Plastic bottles and jugs.

Glass bottles and jars.

Cartons and aseptics.

Paper and cardboard.

Aluminum and steel cans.

No separation is required.

Spring Fling craft show at Oak Grove

The Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 6 at the Oak Grove Recreation Center on BF Goodrich Road. There is no cost for admission. There will be a soup lunch.

Crohn’s and colitis support group meets

The April meeting of the Crohn’s and Colitis Support Group will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the private dining room at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

The Harmar Hill Neighborhood Crime Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lookout Park. Jeff Lauer will present the program on the Washington County Emergency Management Agency. All area residents are invited to attend.
