Health dept. offers extended hours
The Marietta City Health Department will extend its hours until 6:30 p.m. Monday for the immunization clinic to accommodate working parents. The extended hours are offered the first Monday of every month. All other Mondays immunizations are available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
There is a fee of $10 per shot, or the medical card will be accepted. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

Screenings for women in need
Breast and cervical cancer screenings and education will be provided by the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Community Health Program from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the program’s mobile health van parked at Woodsfield Church of Christ on Ohio 78. There will be free Pap tests, pelvic and breast exams, breast health education and appointments for mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women. Appointments are required by calling 1-800-844-2654.
Sewer repairs in Norwood area
The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making repairs to the sanitary sewer in the area of 211 and 217 Kenwood Ave. on Tuesday. There will be no parking on either side of Kenwood Avenue to allow for the diversion of traffic. Kenwood Avenue between Wells and Woodland will be closed to through traffic. Repairs are expected to be completed by Friday but partial closure may extend through the weekend.

Casino Night at Riverside Artists
Casino Night at the Riverside Artists Gallery, 219 Second St., Marietta, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. April 13. The event will raise money for Artsbridge and children’s art programs. Tickets are $25 in advance or at the door. There will be poker, craps, roulette and bingo and a chance to win hand crafted art. There will also be food and drinks.
Developmental Disabilities board meets
The Washington County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold a board finance meeting at noon Tuesday at Ewing School, 1701 Colegate Drive, Marietta. All meetings are open to the public.
