Beverly committee meetings this month

The village of Beverly committee meetings for April will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The regular council meeting will be at 7 p.m. April 10 and the Board of Public Affairs meeting will be at 5 p.m. April 17. All meetings will be at the village office, 919 Mitchell Ave.

Auditions at MOVP for ‘Leaving Iowa’

The Mid-Ohio Valley Players will hold auditions for “Leaving Iowa” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the theater on Putnam Street. Production dates are June 14-29.

Eagles dinner: ham, scalloped potatoes

The Beverly Eagles will hold a ham and scalloped potatoes dinner at 5:30 p.m. Friday. The cost is $7 and includes dessert. For carryout, call 984-4733.

Sewer repairs will close certain streets

The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making repairs to the sanitary sewer in the area of 506 Smith St., on Tuesday. Smith Street will be closed between Wood Street and Lancaster Street. Repairs are expected to be completed by Wednesday, but partial closure may extend through Thursday.

Rep. Johnson will hold town hall event

Congressman Bill Johnson, R-Ohio, will hold a town hall event “Mineral Rights: Unraveling Federal Taxation” from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday in Washington State Community College’s Graham Auditorium. The forum will address concerns and questions regarding tax filing requirements from mineral extraction income. Additionally, a representative from the Internal Revenue Service will be on hand to answer questions.

Permanent recycling trailer in Barlow Twp.

Beginning today, Barlow Township will have a permanent recycling trailer at the Township Hall, 567 Warrior Drive. The following items can be recycled:

Plastic bottles and jugs.

Glass bottles and jars.

Cartons and aseptics.

Paper and cardboard.

Aluminum and steel cans.

No separation is required

Craft, vendor show at Oak Grove center

The Spring Fling Craft and Vendor Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Oak Grove Recreation Center on BF Goodrich Road. There is no cost for admission. There will be a soup lunch.
