Marietta Times Android app is now available

Users of Android mobile devices can now access news from The Marietta Times via a mobile application.

The Android app joins the iPhone app that was introduced late last year as an additional way to get information about the area while you are using your phone.

Both apps display the top story categories from the newspaper’s website, including local news and obituaries. The apps are designed to alert users when there is breaking news occurring in the area.

To download either the Android or iPhone app, simply visit the website with your phone’s browser and follow the link to the download page.

More than 3,000 users have downloaded the iPhone app and view on average, around 215,000 pages per month.

The Parkersburg News and Sentinel also recently launched an Android app.
