Preschool screening at Ewing School

Preschool screening for non-disabled peers will be held at Ewing School May 6. The program has openings for children who demonstrate excellent play and language skills for the purpose of being role models for classroom peers with disabilities. Children must be 3 by May 1, be fully toilet trained, and demonstrate age appropriate skills in all areas of child development. Ewing preschool is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and operates half-day preschool Tuesday through Friday. Ewing typical preschool fees are on a sliding scale. Kite workshop

at Barlow library

The Barlow Library will hold a kite workshop with the New Era One Room School Kite Club from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 9. The workshop will include making your own kite and discussion of kite history, safety and flying. The event is free but registration is required.

Karaoke night at Cutler Center

A karaoke night will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. April 27 at the Cutler Community Building. Food can be purchased at the canteen. Those participating should bring their own CD.

Bethel Alumni

banquet May 4

The Bethel Alumni Banquet will be held May 4 at the Bethel Community Center in Marr. Doors open at 5 p.m. and a steak dinner will be served at 6. The cost is $10. Anyone who attended Bethel High School or grade school and wants to attend should contact Joe Zwick at 934-2064.

Reno Lions plan huge yard sale

The Reno Lions Club will hold a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 11 at the Marietta Township Recreation Center. The cost is $15 for a space and tables may be rented for $5 each while they last.
