School staff will work a day at McDonald’s
Washington Elementary school staff will be working at the Glendale Road McDonald’s from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Funds raised will go toward new curtains for the school stage.
Warren FFA will hold bingo at Warren VFD
The Warren FFA will hold bingo from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Warren Volunteer Fire Department. Snacks and drinks will be provided with a donation. Each board will be 50 cents each with door prizes given to winners. The event will help raise money for the Washington County Relay For Life and the Warren FFA Chapter.
Presentation on the wheel bug at refuge
Derek Hennen will present a program on North America’s largest terrestrial true bug, the wheel bug, at 7 p.m. April 30. The program will be held at the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters building at 3982 Waverly Road, Williamstown, and is being sponsored by the Friends of the Ohio River Islands NWR.

MHS Class of 1951 luncheon April 30
The next Marietta High School Class of 1951 luncheon, will be at 11:30 a.m. April 30 at Da Vinci’s in Williamstown.
Annual cleanup under way in Dunham Twp.
Dunham Township will hold its annual township cleanup today through April 29. A dumpster will be located at the Dunham Township Fire Department. Items not permitted include any radioactive or asbestos materials, tires, batteries, paint, items containing freon, flammable, explosive, biomedical infectious or hazardous waste.

Karaoke planned at community building
A karaoke night will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Cutler Community Building. Food can be purchased at the canteen. Those participating should bring their own CD.

Annual giant garage sale set for Saturday
The Williamstown First United Methodist Church will hold its annual Giant Garage Sale open to the public from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the church’s multi-purpose room, 304 West Fifth St. Proceeds will be used for mission projects.
