Watertown Twp. trustees to meet
The Watertown Township Trustees will hold a public meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the firehouse to discuss a levy to cover contracted Emergency Medical Services for Watertown Township. All township residents are encouraged to attend.
Mother’s Day dinner at Bartlett firehouse
The ladies auxiliary for the Wesley Township Volunteer Fire Department will hold its Mother’s Day dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the firehouse in Bartlett. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The menu will include chicken and noodles, turkey roll and baked steak.
Stanleyville School reunion Saturday
The 19th annual Stanleyville Elementary School reunion will be held Saturday at the Stanleyville Community Center on Washington County 42 with a potluck dinner at noon. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish, table service and a craft item for a raffle drawing. All former students, families and friends are invited.
Thursday program all about bugs
The May program of the Marietta Natural History Society will be presented by Derek Hennen on “Bugs About Us.” He will be sharing some of the hundreds of his photographs of Washington County insects. The program will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Room 150 of Selby Hall at Marietta College. The public is invited.
Clean water project concert Saturday
The Marietta High School National Honor Society will hold a benefit concert from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday as a finale event for its three-month initiative to raise money for a clean water well in a developing country. The concert will take place in the Colegate parking lot of the high school and will feature music by two student bands along with food and games. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at Over the Moon Pizzeria on Front Street in Marietta or by contacting Amelia Gulick at 740-538-9293. All proceeds go toward the Clean Water Campaign.
Career center finance meeting
The Washington County Career Center Finance Committee will meet at 5 p.m. Thursday in the Administration Conference Room.
