Rep. Phillips plans community meeting

Ohio Rep. Debbie Phillips, D-Albany, will hold a community roundtable meeting at 1 p.m. Monday at Lookout Park, 801 Lancaster St., Marietta.

Artsbridge garden party a fund raiser

The Artsbridge 2013 Garden Party Picnic Fundraiser will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Marietta College President’s House, 301 Fifth St. Tickets start at $50 a person and include a picnic basket, select wines, entertainment by River Cities Symphony Orchestra quartet and docent guided tours of the home. Pioneer Palooza in Muskingum Park

Pioneer Palooza, a local geocaching treasure hunt, will begin June 7 with a party in Muskingum Park. In anticipation of the geocaching adventure, the Campus Martius Museum will host a workshop to introduce individuals and families to the high-tech treasure hunt. Beginners will learn about the history of geocaching, the tools of the trade and have an opportunity to search for caches. The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be a $6 charge per person and reservations are required. Register by contacting the Marietta-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau at 373-5178.

Senior recognition assembly at MHS

Marietta High School will hold its annual Senior Recognition Assembly at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium. The Class of 2013 will march in caps and gowns for this ceremony. Various scholarships, awards and special honors will be presented to the students. Parents and community members are invited to attend.

Community yard sale in Belpre Sat.

A community yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in Howe’s Grove Park in Belpre. The sale benefits the Belpre Chamber of Commerce scholarship program.

Fish and game club’s fishing derby

The Washington County Fish and Game Club will hold its annual fishing derby from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at 2100 Duck Creek Road, Whipple. The event is free and open to the public. All children ages 1 to 17 are welcome.

Prizes will be awarded.

There will be raffles, a country store, 50/50 drawings and concessions.
