Piano music concert Tuesday night

Marietta native Mark Kelso will return to town to give a concert of piano music and songs at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, at Fourth and Wooster streets. Admission is by donation. CDs will be available for sale after the concert.

Bigfoot group plans holiday campout

The Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation will host a campout and meeting during Memorial Day weekend at the group campground off Parker Road at Salt Fork State Park. Those attending can set up at 9 a.m. Friday and tear down at 1 p.m. Monday. The cost is $5 per person, per night. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the campground. If camping with the group, you are responsible for your own food, firewood and sleeping arrangements.

Bike helmet fitting, giveaway May 29

Cash Pal and the Marietta City Health Department will hold a children’s bike helmet fitting and giveaway from 1 to 3 p.m. May 29 at Cash Pal, 203 Pike St., Marietta.

Frontier FFA Catfish Tournament June 1

The 10th annual Frontier FFA Catfish Tournament will be held June 1 at Bob’s Place in New Matamoras. Registration starts at 7 p.m. and weigh-ins begin the next morning, at 7 a.m. June 2. Estella Masters, owner of Backwater Baits, will be the recipient of the funds earned from the tournament. She is battling COPD and the income earned will help her with her medical bills. The entry fee is $10 and there are two divisions: Flathead and Channel Cat. The first prize for both divisions is $150 and second place is a fishing combo in both divisions.
