Sewer repairs on East Spring Street

The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making repairs to the sanitary sewer in the area of 401 East Spring Street, on Tuesday.

The 400 block of East Spring street will be closed to parking and traffic will be limited between Holly Street and Terrace Avenue to allow for equipment access. Repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, however, partial closure may extend through the weekend. Please drive with caution.

Symphony concert June 7 at Lafayette

The River Cities Symphony Orchestra will present New York City Nights Pops Concert on June 7 at the Lafayette Hotel, 101 Front Street, Marietta. Doors open at 6 p.m. with concert at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Tickets will be sold at the door. A cash bar will be available, and light refreshments will be served at intermission. Secret Santa dinner fundraiser June 7

There will be a pasta dinner fundraiser for the Washington-Morgan Community Action Secret Santa Program on Friday, June 7 in the fellowship hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The church is located at 232 Third St. in Marietta.

Tickets are $8 or $4 for children under the age of five. Tickets will be sold at the door and at Washington-Morgan Community Action located at 218 Putnam Street. There will also be a country store. Tickets for the country store will be $5 for 15 tickets.

The Secret Santa Program is a supplemental gift program that matches children of underprivileged families of Washington County with generous donors in the community willing to provide Christmas gifts .
