Rose Bloomfield, 51, of McConnelsville, passed away on Sunday (June 2, 2013) at Marietta Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born Feb 17, 1962, to Rick Townsend and Reva Tullius Townsend. She graduated from Fort Frye High School, Class of 1980. Until her illness, she was employed by Par Mar in Beverly. In her spare time, Rose enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was very proud of all of her grandchildren, Linzy, Myah and Katlyn Townsend, Pam, Annie, Danyel, and Cassidy Billy, and Dakota Cravens. Also her “adopted” grandchildren, Tyler and Helena Ahrends and William, Ethan and Zeke Kelly, Rebecca and Lucille Boyd and Kenny Mckown.
She is survived by her mother, Reva Townsend of McConnelsville; brother, Ricky Townsend and wife, Danielle, of Steubenville; son, Kevin Townsend; daughter, Margie Wesel and husband, Aaron Wesel, of Marietta; son, Troy Bloomfield of Belpre; her boyfriend of five years, Jacob Friend of Marietta; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rick Townsend; grandfather, Francis Tullius; and two granddaughters.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Dodge Park in Beverly.
