Youth Days events at Moss Run church

Youth Days events will be held Friday and Saturday at Moss Run Community Church. From 5 p.m. until midnight Friday middle and high school students are invited for games, a movie, music, food and a campfire. From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday preschool and elementary school students are invited for games, crafts, music, food, prizes and Bible stories.

Behavioral Health Board to meet

The Washington County Behavorial Health Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the board office, 344 Muskingum Drive, Marietta. Prior to the regular meeting, the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Committee will meet at 6 p.m. at the same location.

Democratic women meeting Thursday

The Washington County Democratic Women’s Action Committee annual picnic will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at 6886 State Route 821, Whipple at the home of Donna Malcolm. All Democratic women, their spouses and guests are invited. There will be a brief meeting and a cookout begins at 6. Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish or dessert.

The Village of Lowell will hold a special council meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the village building, 308 Walnut St.

Special Fort Frye board meeting

The Fort Frye Local Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 4 p.m., Wednesday at Beverly-Center Elementary School to vote on final fiscal year 2013 and beginning fiscal year 2014 appropriations/estimated revenues.

Life Line Screening at Post 64 Wed.

American Legion Post #64 will host Life Line Screening Wednesday at 812 Beverly Place, Marietta. Those attending can be screened for the risk of having a stroke or bone fracture. Pre-registration is required. To schedule an appointment, call 1-877-237-1287.
