Immunization clinic hours extended
The Marietta City Health Department, 304 Putnam St., Marietta, will extend its hours for the immunization clinic until 6:30 p.m. today and the first Monday of each month. All other Mondays immunizations are offered from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a special immunization clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday specifically for those entering the seventh grade to receive the required Tdap vaccination. No appointment is necessary.
Immunizations are also offered at the Belpre City Health Department, 715 Park Drive, Belpre, on every Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Both health departments charge $10 per shot, or the medical card will be accepted. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

Special county fair board meeting today
The Washington County Fair Board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. today at the Civitan Building to discuss advertising and any other business deemed necessary.
Orders being taken for new food program
The Second Congregational Church, 1855 Greene St., Marietta, will be taking orders for a new food program, Smart Choice Foods, at the church from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 10. The last day to order food online is Aug. 13 by 6 p.m. Food will be distributed at the church from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Aug. 24. There are no income guidelines or limits to how much can be purchased.

‘Aunt Fanny’ will be portrayed at Castle
The Castle in Marietta will hold “Living History Program: Aunt Fanny” at 4 p.m. Saturday. The cost is $5 and reservations are required. Carolina Alvarez will present a first-person living history performance on Frances Dana Barker Gage, a suffragette, abolitionist and temperance proponent. Church offers free meal to community
Tunnel United Methodist Church on Ohio 550 will host a free community meal from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The menu will include baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, applesauce and dessert. The dinner is free, but donations are accepted. For delivery within five miles of the church, call 374-5634.
