Community yard sale in Reno area

The Reno Lions Club will hold a community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Marietta Township Recreation Center. The cost to rent a space is $15 and tables are available for $5. Proceeds will benefit the club’s service projects.

Wesley auxiliary smorgasbord

The Wesley Township Volunteer Fire Department’s women’s auxiliary will hold a smorgasbord from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sept. 8 at the fire station in Bartlett. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. The menu will include ham loaf and Italian chicken.

Muskingum Twp. trustees to meet

The Muskingum Township trustees have changed the date of their regular meeting from Monday to 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Muskingum Township Town Hall.

Friday in Beverly

The Beverly Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will be serving taco in a bowl at 5 p.m. Friday. The cost is $3 per bowl.

They will hold a baked spaghetti dinner at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 6. The cost is $7. The meal also includes salad, rolls and desert. For carry-out, call 984-4733.

Pizza fundraiser

for Wall of Sound

The Marietta Wall of Sound marching band and The Original Pizza Place on Second Street in Marietta will hold a fundraising event from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Sept. 10. Fifteen percent of all receipts that evening will support the band program.

Toddler Time,

Story Hour signups

Registration is under way at the New Matamoras Library for the fall Toddler Time and Story Hour programs. Toddler Time is an interactive program for children ages 2 and 3 and their parent/caregiver. Story is intended for children ages 4 and 5. Programs will begin Sept. 4. Registration is required; 865-3386.

Memorial 5K event Sept. 7 in Beverly

A memorial 5K will be held in honor of Sgt. Kyle Bankes of Beverly at 9 a.m. Sept. 7 starting at Fort Frye High. Registration forms are at Citizen’s Bank in Marietta, Connection Day Spa in Lowell, Jukebox Pizza in Waterford and B&W Pharmacy in Beverly.
