Richard Lyon, 75, of Reno, passed away Friday (Sept. 6, 2013) in Columbus. He was born on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 1937, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to the late Edwin and Frances (Cottrill) Lyon. Richard retired after 31 years of service from General Electric as a plastics engineer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn (Carver), whom he married on Aug. 16, 1957. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kenny Lyon of Provo, Utah; two daughters, Kelly Cutlip (Rob) of Union, Ohio, Shelly Willis of Dublin, Ohio; five grandchildren, Alec and Daylan Lyon of Provo, Utah and Aaron, Ian and Connor Willis of Dublin, Ohio.
Services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 10, 2013) at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, Ohio, 45750. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
