Robert B. Danielson

Robert B. Danielson, 86, Belmont, W.Va., passed away Thursday (Sept. 26, 2013) at his residence surrounded by his wife and children. Born on April 14, 1927, in Vincent, Ohio, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Kathleen Childers Danielson. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retired Maintenance Supervisor from American Cyanamid after 39 years. Bob was a 50 year Mason of St. Marys Lodge 41 A.F. &A.M. and a member of the American Legion Post 79. He was a four term mayor for the city of Belmont, and neighborhood Mr. Fix-It.

He is survived by his wife, Vidella Ann Mathess Danielson; four daughters, Carmen Runnion, Robin (Steve) Holman, Scarlett (Jim) Satterfield, and Lori (Brian) Enoch; two sons, J.D. (Betty) Danielson, and Denny (Sally) Danielson; son-in-law, David Nutter; 15 grandchildren, Robbie, Pat, and Luke Runnion, Eric Danielson, Jon and Josh Dale, Jenna Shaner, Jaci Cutright, Danyelle, Tyler, Wyatt Satterfield, Megan Bunner, Seth Enoch, Amy Sandy, and Jenny Kirl; 12 great-grandchildren, one great-grandson, Kaleb Danielson; two great-great-grandchildren; devoted loving niece, Amanda Dawn Danielson; one brother, Gene Danielson; one sister, Eileen Tompkins; and his faithful canine companion, Duke. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Patty Lou Smith Danielson; mother and father-in-law, Archie and Mary Smith; infant son, Timothy; son-in-law, Dave Runnion; step-daughter, Pamela Nutter; step-son, Steve Skinner; four brothers; and four sisters.

Services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 at the Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, W.Va., with Pastor Kelly Snyder officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial of his ashes will be at a later date in the IOOF Cemetery, St. Marys.
