Texting ban shows anti-business attitude

The proposed cell phone driving ban is yet another anti-business law. I’m too busy today to attend the 3 p.m. hearing of Council’s traffic committee; but the outcome is foretold by the (D) after the member’s names in the Wednesday Times story.

Don’t conflate texting with cell phones. For many of us our business phone is our cell phone. Especially those in the service business who are constantly on the road. A ban on receiving phone calls while driving is yet another attack on business.

But Democratic legislators delight in regulating their subjects’ behaviors. And just think of all the fines to be collected by creating a “phone trap” for unwary out of town drivers.
