Upcoming seminar on taxes and wealth

A “Tax and Wealth Management” seminar to be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Washington State Community College’s Graham Auditorium will focus on challenges associated with lease and royalty payments, including taxation, tax reporting and alternatives to reduce the amount of tax paid. There is no charge for the program, but pre-registration is required so that handouts may be prepared. Warren band

boosters craft fair

The Warren High School Band Boosters will host its 35th annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There will be more than 130 crafters, along with concessions, bake sales, a country store and a raffle. Proceeds benefit the Warren High School Band.

giveaway Nov. 6

There will be a winter coat giveaway Nov. 6 at the Knights of Columbus, 117 Franklin St., Marietta. It will be held during The Daily Bread Kitchen meal from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bean dinner at

Belpre church

Belpre Heights United Methodist Church, 720 Clement Ave., will hold a bean dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. There will be beans, cornbread, apple butter, applesauce and hot dogs, dessert and drinks. This dinner is by donation.

Used book sale at Barlow library

The Barlow branch of the Washington County Public Library will hold a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

weekend at Post 64

The first Marietta Gun Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at American Legion Post 64. Admission is $5, with women admitted for $3. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County.
