Veterans Day soup, sandwiches

Veterans Day soup and sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Lowell American Legion Post 750. All veterans are welcome.

Orders taken for pumpkin pies, rolls

The Angels Among Us Relay For Life Team will be taking orders for homemade pumpkin pies and pumpkin rolls through Nov. 15. The cost is $10 for pumpkin pie and $8 for a pumpkin roll. Orders of a dozen homemade cookies will be sold through Dec. 13. The choices include chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle or iced sugar cookies. Hopewell fundraiser Saturday in Belpre

Hopewell Health Center in Belpre will hold a fundraiser Saturday at the Belpre Church of Christ to support the HHC 2014 Children Summer Group Program. There will be a zumbathon from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and basket bingo from 3:30 to 5 p.m. The admission for the zumbathon is $5. The basket bingo prices are five tickets for $3 and 10 tickets for $5. Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Helen Kousaleos at Hopewell Health Center Belpre at 423-8095. In addition, tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event.

Veterans program at Washington School

Veterans will be honored at Washington Elementary School in Marietta at 9:30 a.m. Friday. All area veterans are invited to the assembly.

Benefit auction

at Tractor Supply

The Marietta St. Vincent dePaul Society will hold a benefit auction Nov. 16 at the Marietta Tractor Supply building in the Frontier Shopping Center. Proceeds will be used to help those in need in the area. New items to be auctioned include toys, tools, Christmas decor, bikes, Christmas candy, household items and more.
