Worn flag collection point on Front St.

Mrs. Ohio International, along with Boy Scout Troop 653, will be in front of the American Flag and Pole Store on Front Street in Marietta during the last Merchants and Artist Walk of the year from 6 to 9 p.m. today. They will be collecting torn and worn American flags so they can disposed of in a respectful fashion. If anyone has worn flags they can be dropped off for proper disposal.

Christmas benefit auction at Barlow

The Barlow Volunteer Fire Department will hold a Christmas Benefit Auction at the firehouse at 6 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 5. All new items will include toys, tools, bikes and household items, Christmas decor and more. More information is available at Auctionzip.com #30706. Food will be served by the department.

Studio food drive

Stacey’s Dance Studio is holding a “Dancer Against Hunger” food drive through Nov. 18. Donations can be dropped off at the studio on Pike Street. All donations will be given to the Gospel Mission food pantry in the Harmar area.

Veterans get free

museum admission

Veterans will receive free admission to the Campus Martius Museum all day Monday in honor of Veterans Day. From 2 to 3 p.m. the Campus Martius Museum and the Washington County Public Library will present Debra Conner as Dr. Mary Walker. The program is free and open to the public.

Barlow trustees

to meet Tuesday

The Barlow Township trustees will hold their regular meeting for November at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday instead of Monday which is Veterans Day.

American Girl

Holiday Tea Nov. 17

An American Girl Holiday Tea will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Nov. 17 at The Betsey Mills Club. The tea is for girls ages 7 to 12, who can bring their dolls for the afternoon tea featuring parlor games and food. Call 373-4981 for reservations. Tickets are $12 for Betsey members and $15 for non-members.
