Access to county auditor’s office

limited temporarily

In order to accommodate a maintenance project, the customer service area of the Washington County Auditor’s Office will be closed to the public from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Monday. Personnel will be at work during this time but phone and computer access will be limited. The Fiscal Office and Tax Map Office will be available to customers during these times. Genealogical Society to meet Saturday

The Washington County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Washington County Library basement meeting room, 615 Fifth St., Marietta. The speaker is Phill Crane, who will speak on “Finding Fort Frye and Joseph Frye’s Grave.” Visitors are welcome.

Relay For Life team bake sale Saturday

Washington State Community College’s Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Rho Gamma chapter will hold a Relay For Life bake sale at Fruth Pharmacy on Washington Boulevard in Belpre from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.


smorgasbord dinner

The Chesterhill Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its Thanksgiving smorgasbord dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the fire station on Ohio 555 in Chesterhill. The menu will consist of baked turkey with dressing, ham loaf, noodles, mashed potatoes, a vegetable, other side dishes, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $8.50 for adults and $4 for children 10 and younger. Carry-out meals for the local area will be available by calling 554-6801 the day of the dinner.

Wolf Creek board meets Nov. 19

The Wolf Creek Local regular board meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19 in the Waterford High School band room.

MHS?Class of 1952 to meet Nov. 20

The Marietta High School Class of 1952 will meet at DaVinci’s at 11 a.m. Nov. 20. Classmates and friends are welcome.

American Girl

Holiday Tea Sunday

An American Girl Holiday Tea will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at The Betsey Mills Club. The tea is for girls ages 7 to 12, who can bring their dolls for the afternoon tea featuring parlor games and food. Call 373-4981 for reservations. Tickets are $12 for Betsey members and $15 for non-members.
