Rowing club to host open house Sunday

The Harmar Rowing Club, Inc. will host an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Broughton boat house on Gilman Avenue in Marietta. The event is a part of the 50th anniversary celebration of rowing at Marietta High School. All community members are welcome to attend.

Holiday party Dec. 21 for Lower Salem

The Lower Salem Community Holiday Party will begin at 4 p.m. Dec. 21 at the Lower Salem Village Hall. There will be soup and sandwiches and Santa will arrive with treats for the children. There is no cost to attend.

Church to host Christmas program

HarborSite Baptist Church is presenting “The Heart of Christmas” Cantata at 10 a.m. Sunday. Following the cantata everyone is invited to stay for a Christmas dinner. The church is located at 115 Victory Place on Harmar Hill.

Beverly cemetery trustees to meet

The Village of Beverly Board of Cemetery Trustees annual meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the McCurdy Funeral Home, 309 Fifth St., Beverly.

Church to offer free lunch Tuesday

First Presbyterian Church of Marietta is offering a free lunch for the community from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. There will not be a meal on the fourth Tuesday of the month for December. The church is located on the corner of Wooster and Fourth streets with the entrance off Wooster Street.

Thirty-One bingo held as fundraiser

A Thirty-One bingo fundraiser will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday for Kathy Carpenter at the Marietta Township Recreation Center in Reno. There will be concessions, a country store and a 50/50 lottery.

Warren High School holiday concert

Warren High School’s 25th Holiday Concert will begin at 8 p.m. Monday in the Warren High School Auditorium.

The Warren annual Christmas Concert will begin at 8 p.m. Dec. 18 in the Warren High School Auditorium.

Oak Grove to host annual Santa run

The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its annual Santa Run beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday. Santa will be visiting the community and outlying areas of Oak Grove.
