60th: Donald, Sandra Holdren
Donald and Sandra Holdren of Newport celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 13 with a dinner at The Outback given by their family.
He is the son of the late Eugene and Mary Holdren of Beavertown, Ohio, and graduated from Matamoras High School. He retired from Ormet Corporation after 40 years of employment in various positions.
She is the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Violet S. Snyder of Belmont, W.Va., and graduated from St. Marys High School. She retired after 30 years of employment, 12 years as secretary at Frontier High School and 18 years as treasurer of the Ohio Valley Educational Services Center.
They were married by the Rev. C.C. O’Neill at the Methodist parsonage.
They are the parents of Keith (Terry), Kevin (deceased) and Kimberly.
They have five grandchildren: Melissa, Alana (Daniel Newberry), Ryker and Sean Holdren, and Jordan Faugl. They have one great-granddaughter, Zoey.
They are enjoying their retirement with various hobbies.
