Lions Club will hold an inside yard sale

The Reno Lions Club will hold an inside yard sale from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Marietta Township Recreation Center. Space rents for $15, which helps the Lions buy eyeglasses and fund other community projects.

Longaberger basket, pottery bingo Sat.

Longaberger basket and pottery bingo will be held at noon Saturday at the Cutler Community Center. Doors open at 11 a.m. There will be a special raffle of three larger items including a 19″ flat screen TV, a 50/50, a country store, concessions and an Early Bird drawing.

Speaker planned for Democratic Women’s Committee meeting

Jennah Craig, women’s caucus director of the Ohio Democratic Party, will be the speaker at the Thursday meeting of the Washington County Democratic Women’s Committee. Craig will address the issues of recent changes in voter protection and the effects budget changes have had on local communities. The meeting will be held at the VFW on Pike Street in Marietta. Lunch can be ordered at 11:30 a.m., with the meeting beginning at noon. Democratic women of Washington County and the surrounding area, as well as other interested people are encouraged to attend.

Pancake/sausage breakfast at St. John

St. John’s CWC is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake/sausage breakfast from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at St. John Central Grade School in Churchtown. Prices are $6 for adults, $3 for children and $20 per family. Grismer’s religious items will be for sale during the breakfast.

School’s carnival scheduled for April 5

Warren Elementary School’s carnival will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. April 5 at the school on Ohio 550. There will be concessions, games, a cake/dessert walk, a raffle, bingo, a country store and filled baskets for a silent auction.
