Arrests made in nighttime drug sweep
A Marietta man found with cocaine in an area hotel just over two months ago was arrested again Tuesday night on similar charges.
Tytus L. Shields, 25, last know address 906 Fifth St., was arrested for possession of cocaine and weapons under a disability, both felonies, according to Washington County Sheriff Larry Mincks.
Shields was one of multiple people arrested during search warrants executed nearly simultaneously around 9:30 p.m. at locations on Killwell Run Road and on on Kenwood Street.
Mincks declined to release the names of others arrested as the events unfolded late Tuesday evening. The names will be made available today, he said.
Mincks did confirm that department’s BearCat vehicles were deployed at the two locations.
