Ballroom dancing lessons on Fridays

Ballroom dancing lessons with Instructor Bill Held and assistant Sue Montera will be held Friday evenings at the Betsey Mills Club starting at 5:45 p.m. this Friday. The cost is $100 per couple. To reserve a spot, call 373-3302.

Pancakes to raise money for Scouts

Marietta area Boy Scouts will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Marietta Knights of Columbus Hall, 312 Franklin St. Proceeds go to help fund the scouts’ summer trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. A Silpada Jewelry show will also be held during the breakfast. The cost is a donation.

Designer Purse Bingo at VFW post

Designer Purse Bingo will be hosted by the Ohio Valley All-Stars Sunday at the VFW, 319 Pike St., Marietta. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and Bingo starts at 2. The cost is 20 games for $20. There will also be food, raffles, bust-a-balloons and more.

WIN meeting April 10 at Williamstown High

The Williamstown Improvement Network (WIN) will hold its next meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 10 in the Williamstown High School cafeteria. The upcoming Diamond Dinner/Auction and the concession stand are the main topics for discussion. Anyone interested in Williamstown High School sports is invited and encouraged to attend.

Hunter education course this weekend

An Ohio Hunter Education Course will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Broken Timber Outdoor Education Center, located at the AGI plant site on Ohio 7 in Hannibal. Lunch will be served on Saturday. Call 1-800-WILDLIFE to register.

Included in the training will be basic gun safety, information about the different types of firearms and ammunition, archery, wildlife management, shooting, person safety and survival, game care and hunter responsibility.

Board of Elections meeting Wednesday

The Washington County Board of Elections will hold its regular monthly meeting at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
