Beverly flushing fire hydrants

The Village of Beverly Volunteer Fire Department will be testing and flushing fire hydrants in Beverly and Waterford on Monday and on April 28, May 5 and May 12. If water becomes discolored, run water it becomes clear.

O’Neill site of Medicare program

The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program will hold a “Welcome to Medicare” event at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the O’Neill Center, 333 Fourth St., Marietta. The event will help new and soon-to-be beneficiaries understand the basics of Medicare.

Salem-Liberty Alumni banquet

The Salem-Liberty High School Alumni Banquet will be held on May 24 at Salem-Liberty Elementary School. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Anyone who attended the school in any year is invited to attend. Belpre school board to meet Monday

The Belpre City Schools Board of Education will hold its next regular meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the Stone Administration Building/Early Learning Center.

Barlow Township collects waste

Barlow Township residents can bring unwanted trash to the Barlow Township Hall at 567 Warrior Drive on Thursday and Friday. Accepted and unaccepted items are posted on fliers posted throughout the township. This service is provided by Barlow Township and Rumpke.

Basilica to host italian dinner

The Basilica of St. Mary of the Assumption Italian Dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. Mary School, Third and Marion streets, Marietta. The menu will include chicken parmesan and spaghetti and meatballs or spaghetti with salad, bread, a drink and Dessert. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger and free fro those five and under.
