Sewer repairs on Phillips Street
The Marietta Wastewater Department will be making emergency sanitary sewer repairs in the area of 196-198 Phillips St. beginning at 8 a.m. today. There will be no parking in front of 196-198 Phillips. Phillips Street will be closed to traffic to and from Greene Street to allow for equipment and material access. Repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, however work may extend through into next week.

Benefit spaghetti dinner at Watertown
A spaghetti dinner benefit for George Shaffer will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Watertown Volunteer Fire Department. He has been diagnosed with colon cancer. There will also be raffles and a country store.
Barlow Twp. trash drop-off location
Barlow Township residents can bring unwanted trash to the Barlow Township Hall at 567 Warrior Drive on Thursday and Friday. Accepted and unaccepted items are posted on fliers posted throughout the township. This service is provided by Barlow Township and Rumpke.

Spring rummage sale in Beverly
The Beverly United Methodist Women will hold their spring rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 2. The “Bag Sale” will begin at 3 p.m. The Marietta Memorial Bloodmobile will be on site from 1 to 6 p.m. The church is located at 700 Park St. in Beverly.
