Bloodmobile visit Tuesday in Reno

The Marietta Memorial Hospital Bloodmobile will be at the Marietta Township Recreation Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday as part of a blood drive sponsored by Junior Girl Scout Troop #629.

Hervida 4-H Camp chicken BBQ May 3

The Hervida 4-H Camp Chicken BBQ Dinner & Country Store will be held from 4:30 to 7 p.m. May 3 at Hervida 4-H Camp, 1260 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford. The cost is $9 for a half-chicken dinner and $6 for a quarter-chicken dinner. Tickets are available at the door and take-out dinners are available.

Mother’s Day dinner at St. Henry’s church

A Mother’s Day dinner will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 11 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church on Ohio 145 in Harriettsville. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children. The menu will include chicken, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, homemade noodles, cole slaw, roles, dessert, drinks and coffee. Take-out will be available in the basement serving line.

Pro wrestling benefit for humane society

Remix Pro Wrestling Throwdown for the Pound 9 will be held Saturday at Marietta Middle School as a fundraiser for the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley. General admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the show. Tickets are available at We Lov Pets at the Lafayette Center and at remixprowrestling.com

Drainage work in 900 block of Lancaster

Bowen Construction will be performing drainage construction work for the city in the 900 block of Lancaster Street in Marietta beginning Monday. The work is expected to last three to four days, weather permitting. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers and signage. Motorists need to prepare for delays or are encouraged to find an alternate route.

Wendy’s helps raise money for MHS band

Wendy’s and the Marietta Band Fundraising Day will be held Monday at both the Pike Street and Muskingum Drive locations of Wendy’s from 4 to p.m. For both eat-in or drive-thru orders Wendy’s will donate a portion of its receipts to the Marietta Wall of Sound.
