60th: Thomas, Shirley Wilson

Thomas James “T.J.” and Shirley Wilson of Marietta celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 20. They were married April 20, 1954, in Boomer, W.Va.

He is the son of the late George James Wilson and Verl C. and Myrtle Lucille Johnson McIntire. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Patrick and Grace Mae Kelly Gaughan Sr.

He is a graduate from Marietta High School and attended Marietta College. He retired from Amoco Performances Inc. in 1996 after 33 years of service.

She is a graduate of Vincent High School and Alderson-Broaddus College. She retired from Marietta Memorial Hospital in 1995 after 20 years of service.

They have three children: Cheyenne Duncan and her husband, Greg, of Elizabeth City, N.C., and Pamela Bowes and Patrick Wildon, both of Marietta.

They also have five grandchildren: Jennifer Toelle and her husband, David of Salina, Kan., Joshua Duncan and his wife, Jennifer of Glenshaw, Pa., Derek Burton and his wife, Brenda of Chesapeake, Va., and Stephanie and Zach Bowes, both of Marietta.

They have seven great-grandchildren: Trae and Tenille Toelle of Salina, Kan., Savannah Henderhan, Marchus Rohrbaugh, and Carter Lockhart of Marietta, Tegan Duncan of Glenshaw, Pa., and Emmalyn Burton of Virginia Beach, Va.
