Hats off to longtime House of Hope director
Hats off to Dorothy Boudinot! For over 40 years, Dorothy has been a rich source of support, kindness and encouragement to Washington County citizens with mental illness.
Dorothy is the director of House of Hope, a peer support program for individuals with mental illness, where members support each other, learn life skills and socialize in an accepting and caring environment. She has a friendly smile and a way of helping people during times of difficulty with their illness. I personally believe that she has given me the assistance I needed to stay out of the hospital on several occasions.
Dorothy may never know how loved she is, but there are many grateful hearts in our community and I certainly have one of them.
