Williamstown church to hold music camp
A community music workshop for children in second to sixth grade will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily July 21-24 at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamstown. Participants will learn about rhythm, make instruments, take part in a special service activity and meet special guest musicians. The workshop is free of charge and lunch will be provided daily. You do not need to be a member of the church to attend. Registration is available the day of the event or in advance by calling 304-375-6211.
Natural History Society to honor Ortt
The Marietta Natural History Society will devote its meeting Thursday to a celebration of Marilyn Ortt, a founder and board member of the MNHS. Everyone is invited to share stories and remembrances of Marilyn over refreshments. Members will also discuss the future of the society, now in its third decade. The meeting will be at 7 p.m. in Selby 150 (Rickey Science Center) at Marietta College.
County LEP?to meet at operations center
The Washington County Local Emergency Planning Committee will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Washington County Emergency Operations Center, 204 Davis Ave., Suite C, Marietta. The public is invited to attend.

Wolf Creek to hold special meeting
The Wolf Creek Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday in the superintendent’s office at Waterford High School for the purpose of awarding roofing contracts.
New 5K focus on disability rights
The first Walk n Roll for Disability Rights, a 5K walk or run hosted by the Supporters of Disability Rights in the Mid-Ohio Valley, will be held at 10 a.m. July 27 along the Muskingum River. Registration is open and pre-registration is encouraged. Participants can request a registration form by calling 525-2850, emailing email@example.com or visiting rivercityrunners.com. The pre-registration cost is $12 until July 14. Post-entry and race day cost is $15.
