Churchtown Community Crew
Churchtown Community Crew 4-H Club held their meeting on June 29 at 1 p.m. at St. John Central Grade School. The meeting was called to order by President Haley Tornes. Roll call was to your favorite summer activity. The 4-H pledge was led by Cheyanne Hart and the American pledge was led by Emma Tornes. The song “Little Red Wagon” was led by members. The devotion “Almost Autumn” was given by Erin Hague. A treasurer’s report was given by Emma Poulton. Summer tips to stay active were given by Averi Schwendeman. A safety report titled “Swimming Safety” was given by Emma Tornes. An energy report titled “Solar Energy” was given by Cullen Bunner.
Old business: Camp, tag-in and project judging dates were read and everyone was asked if they were going to camp.
New business: Different ideas were voiced as to what to do for a family activity/ field trip. Members were reminded to bring pictures of their animals and their poster for the next meeting. The cloverbuds leaned about animals and their habitats.
The members painted flowers to use in the 4-H booth. Refreshments were brought by Poulton and Hague and are to be brought next by Schwendeman, Hart, and Pierson. Demos were given by Olivia Schott, Averi Schwendeman, Mattie Pierson, Cheyanne Hart, and Owen Schaad. The meeting was adjourned by Erin Hague and seconded by Emma Poulton. The next meeting will be Aug. 4 at 6:30 p.m. at St. John Central Grade School.
