Country Kids

The Country Kids 4-H club held their June meeting at the Highland Ridge Community Church. Wesley Satterfield led the American Pledge and Leanna Longfellow led the 4-H pledge.

Demonstrations were given by Wesley Satterfield, Skylar Secrest, and Lakyn Secrest.

The club will be having a family outing on July 17 at The Landings.

The next meeting will be Aug. 18 to prepare the fair booth and paint the trash can for the Washington County Fair.

Farmers and Homemakers

The Farmers and Homemakers 4-H Club had a meeting on July 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the Beverly Park. There were 10 members and three guests present. Demonstrations were done by: Kelton Fogle- Show a pig; Eithyn Fogle- Parts of a pig; Nathan Bullock- Mole trap. Good job to all members who have completed their demonstrations. At the next meeting Alexandra Huck and Brenden Huck will give there demonstrations.

July 19- feeder calf tag in at Barlow Fairgrounds. 8 a.m. to noon

July 27-29- Ohio 4-H Sr Shooting Education Camp

July 31- Deadline for non-livestock project judging must be completed by appointment

Aug. 1- Pen reservations due Washington County Senior Fair Board Office

Aug. 9- Skillathon for all projects

Aug. 11-12- Makeup skillathon by appointment

Aug. 13-14- Waterford Fair Hog weigh in

Aug. 13- Booth set up at Waterford Fair Grounds

Aug. 17- Take down fair booth Waterford Fair

Next meeting will be Aug. 20 at 1:30 p.m. at the Beverly Park.
