Church and school’s 90th reunion Sunday

The 90th annual Oakland United Methodist Church and 15th Oakland School Reunion will be held on Sunday at Oakland United Methodist Church, Johnson Ridge Road, Stockport, with a potluck lunch at noon and business meeting at 1:30. Special music will be provided by Jimmy Howson.

Session on becoming a volunteer firefighter

Anyone interested in information on becoming a volunteer firefighter in Ohio is invited to attend an informational session by Jerry Green, a volunteer firefighter and fire training instructor, that will include a question and answer session. It will be held at 6 p.m. today in Room E118 in the main building of Washington State Community College, 710 Colegate Drive, Marietta.

An open house for the 80th birthday of Donna Jean Haas Willamson will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Belpre Senior Center, 1614 Washington Blvd. Belpre.

Free meal at St. Luke’s Episcopal

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will hold its next free meal from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church, 320 Second St., Marietta. The meal will include pork, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert and a beverage.

Crime Watch group picnic is Tuesday

The Harmar Hill Neighborhood Crime Watch Group will host its annual National Night Out crime prevention picnic at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the community building at Lookout Park. This event promotes police-community partnerships, crime, drug, and violence prevention, safety and neighborhood unity. Those attending are invited to bring a covered dish. The Neighborhood Watch Coordinators will supply hot dogs, drinks and paper products.

Tickets available for ‘Gem’ dinner cruise

A Community Dinner Cruise sponsored by the Reno Lions Club will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday on board the Valley Gem. There will be music by Pickin’ on Country.
