Kudos for summer full of fun, family events

Thanks to the Riverside Artists Gallery for the summer art camp. Two of my grandchildren, ages 11 and 7, attended and left with a large bag of interesting and unusual art projects and are eager to return next year.

Thanks to the Ohio River Museum for their Wet Wild Wonderful Camp. My 11-year-old grandson enjoyed his week especially the Valley Gem ride, touring the W.P. Snyder and making that very large rain stick.

Thanks to Karen Briley and others for organizing the Red, White and Blues Festival. It was a wonderful event with good food, great music and perfect weather.

Thanks to the Washington State Community College for sponsoring the Evergreeen Art Series each year.

Thanks to Marietta College for supporting the interesting Education in Retirement classes each year.

Thanks to the O’Neill Center for planning activities throughout the year including numerous bus trips to a variety of venues and places.

Thanks to everyone involved in planning and producing the Shakespeare in the Park event. I look forward to attending more plays in the future.
